BRADFORD Archie J. "AJ" Bradford passed away July 17, 2008. He was born February 24, 1922 in Key West, FL. He lived in Jacksonville since age one year old. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard from 1941 through 1947. He retired from the Seaboard System Rail Road after 35 years. He was a member of the North Jacksonville Baptist Church and served as Worshipful Master in 1969 at Temple Lodge No.23. He also served in 1973 as D.D.G.M. of the Old 10 District now the 12 Masonic District. As a member of the Scottish Rite, he received the 33 Degree Honorary in 1983. He was also a member of the York Rite, Red Cross of Constantine, and the Eastern Star. A.J. is survived by: his wife of 63 years, Marie T. Bradford; two daughters: Sylvia Broughton (John) of Raleigh, NC, Virginia Lauramore (Bill) and one son A. James Bradford (Phyllis). He has six grand children and 11 great grand children. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 20, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted by Rev. Buddy Francis, Monday, July 21, 2008 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
